TYSON'S CORNER, Va. -- Today, Roadfly.com announced the release of the first-ever Roadfly TV segment, reviewing Audi's redesigned A4. Hosted by Roadfly publisher Charlie Romero, the show is seven minutes long and features video of the car and technological details. This is the first-ever automotive review available for video-enabled handheld devices, such as the video iPod, and is also viewable on most laptop and desktop computers.
New Roadfly TV episodes will be produced bi-monthly, and available for free download at both the Roadfly.com website as well as Apple's(R) popular iTunes(R) music store. This premier episode will join such productions as ABC's Desperate Housewives as being some of the first syndicated content available on the Internet for video iPods.
"Video iPods are the perfect medium for Roadfly TV and our featured car reviews--this is video-on-demand at its most convenient for new-car buyers," said Roadfly publisher Charlie Romero. "With tens of millions of iTunes(R) users, Roadfly TV will very quickly become the most-watched automotive show in the world."
This initial episode of Roadfly TV is free to all users thanks to the sponsorship of Mothers(R) Polishes, Waxes & Cleaners. Brief, non-intrusive sponsor messages will precede every show. iTunes(R) users can access Roadfly TV by searching for "Roadfly" or "Audi A4" within iTunes(R); the file is also available in several formats for PC and TV applications at www.roadfly.com/tv.
"Apple's iTunes(R) site boasts over 500 million downloads, and Roadfly is the first automotive publication to take advantage of this new audience with multimedia content," Romero said. "By providing these convenient and free reviews to new-car shoppers, 72% of whom research their purchases online, we'll reach many more millions of consumers."
Roadfly TV is the newest feature to be added to the Roadfly.com online automotive experience. The 1.2 million monthly regular readers will now have access to these downloadable video segments covering the newest cars, trucks and SUVs twice monthly. With whole-market auto reviews, classifieds, user communities & forums, and more, Roadfly.com has emerged since its 1997 inception as the web's comprehensive resource for automotive buyers, sellers and owners.
