NSW: Shots fired, man injured in Marrickville incident

SYDNEY, Feb 18 AAP - Shots were fired at a woman and a group of men tried to stab her
boyfriend when they stopped at a convenience store in Sydney's inner west yesterday, police
said today.

The woman left her boyfriend in the car while she went into a shop in Marrickville about 9pm.

When he got out of the car, one of three men tried to stab him in the stomach, a police
spokeswoman said.

He suffered minor injuries.

The woman told police she came out of the shop shop and was in her car when two shots
were fired towards her.

Police believed the suspects fled on foot.
