This race has about a Million choices

I don't believe I can discount the chances of any of the 13stakes winners named Thursday for Arlington Million XI Sept. 1.That's how power-packed the field is for the 1 1/4-mile turf event.

There is no horse in the field with the reputation of JohnHenry, winner of the Million in 1981 and 1984. Usually I couldeliminate the chances of more than a few starters, but not thistime. The probable starters this time have won $9 million.

It's even difficult to name the probable favorite, but you knowme. I'm predicting Tight Spot, winner of all his seven starts on theturf, six of them stakes, as the public's choice at 3-1, in a wideopen betting race.
